About us!

Hello! Welcome to WallflowersByKerri. I'm Kerri and I am the owner and designer here at Wallflowers. I am a mom of three boys which as you can imagine keeps me busy but with them all in school I decided to I focus on my passion, crafting. I have always loved crafts! For 8 wonderful years, I taught preschool and my favorite part of the day was getting to do arts and crafts with "my kiddos". I absolutely love to take simple materials and adding color or embellishments to make something wonderful. I started out making creative gifts for family members at Christmas and birthdays and it has turned into this rewarding handmade business. I opened my Etsy shop in 2015 and my own website here in 2018. I love being able to paint something that people can be proud to give as a gift or display in their home proudly.

As a young girl, I was always a daddy's girl. I have such great memories of our times together. I loved running errands with my dad, playing games, raking leaves in the fall, riding bikes in the summer, and on some occasions even getting to put curlers in his hair and paint his nails. My dad always called me his little "wallflower." When I decided to open this shop and was ready to name it, I thought of him always calling me his Wallflower and how happy and special that nickname truly meant to me. This name was a perfect fit for my shop especially since I had originally started my shop with; flowers that were designed to hang on a wall. Now, as my business as evolved, those hanging flowers have turned into handpainted signs and home decor.

As an adult, I am blessed to have another special man in my life; my husband. He has supported me and has even encouraged me to take over our home office and turn it into my office and business headquarters. I am thankful to be able to live out my dream of having my own small business and being able to have an opportunity to have such an important piece of my childhood live on through my shop.
